Double Quartz Point Necklace
At Yaxchilán and at Uxmal, seven hundred kilometres apart, they carved the same gesture: someone emerges from the serpent's jaws. The serpent was never the animal. It was the passage.
What sheds its skin does not die.
It changes eyes.
There is a detail on this piece most people will never notice. That is exactly the point.
The Mexica carved the most sacred images
on the face no one would ever see again.
It is one of the most disconcerting facts in pre-Hispanic art, and it is documented.
The Coatlicue stands 2.7 metres tall and weighs close to two tonnes. Underneath it, on the base — the face resting against the earth, which no one would ever see again — there is a complete Tlaltecuhtli, carved crouching, with skulls and the date "1 Rabbit" in his headdress.
It is not an isolated case. A feathered serpent sculpture conceals another Tlaltecuhtli beneath it. A Coyolxauhqui head conceals war glyphs. A carved cactus conceals the face of the founder Tenoch.

And on the effect this produces: the visible faces are "complete in and of themselves, meaningful and satisfying, leaving no clue to an uninitiated viewer that something is hidden underneath."
Carvers who spent weeks on an image destined to lie face down against stone. Forever.
This piece is built on that same principle. From a distance it is a quartz pendant. Up close, the serpent coiled around the staff appears. And whoever recognises it recognises four thousand years of history on someone's chest.
Not everyone will notice. They do not need to.
Chiapas, year 709. A woman burns paper stained with her own blood. A serpent rises from the smoke — and a full figure steps out of its jaws.
The Vision

It is one of the most extraordinary scenes surviving from the Maya world, carved in limestone on a lintel you can go and see today at the British Museum.

The ritual, dated to the day
Lintel 24 from the same structure records the exact date. In it, Lady Xook pulls a thorned cord through her tongue while her husband holds a lit torch above her. The blood drips onto paper in a basket.
She burns the paper
And from the smoke the Vision Serpent rises: a supernatural being that emerges once the bloodied paper is burned.
Someone steps out of the jaws
From the serpent's mouth an armed figure emerges — shield, spear, war helmet and full regalia. Scholars still debate who it is: an ancestor, Shield Jaguar II, or Lady Xook herself.
What the ritual was for, according to scholars: honouring the gods, maintaining cosmic order, and opening access to other realms through vision.
Notice what does not happen in that scene. The serpent does not attack. It does not guard. The serpent opens. It is the door through which what was on the other side comes across.
Seven hundred kilometres northeast, in Yucatán, they carved exactly the same gesture — but in stone mosaic, and 53 metres long.
Two intertwined serpents

On the west building of the Nunnery Quadrangle, two colossal feathered serpents intertwine and run the entire length of the frieze. Their bodies are covered in feathers. The tail of one rises almost above its own head, crowned with a turban-like ornament and a plume — and the markings on that tail point to a rattlesnake species native to the region.
They are not carved from a single block. They are made of stones cut one by one and assembled like a mosaic. Every scale, a separate piece.

And here is the detail that closes the circle with Yaxchilán: from the open jaws of one of the serpents a human head emerges. In another section of the frieze, two intertwined serpents frame a standing human figure, now heavily deteriorated.
That façade measured 53 metres. Frederick Catherwood drew it between 1839 and 1841.
According to the testimony of the landowner Simón Peón, in 1835 the entire front was still intact, with serpents encircling every ornament across the whole façade.
Since then, entire sections have collapsed into confused heaps at the foot of the monument. What can be seen today is a fraction. The rest is on the ground.
Two sites. Two techniques. Hundreds of kilometres apart. The same gesture: someone emerges from the jaws.

At the Great Pyramid — which by volume is the largest monument ever built by human beings — Altar 2 is a carved slab bearing intertwined serpents, where Altar 1 bears scrolls.
Its style is closely related to that of El Tajín, Veracruz, famous for its interlaced scroll reliefs.

Reliefs of intertwined serpents tied to the Kaanu'l dynasty — whose name means, literally, "serpent".
To be precise: these are modelled in stucco, not carved in stone. We tell you in full because that is how it should be told.
And the motif was not only carved on façades: it was worn. The Museo Amparo collection holds a head with a headdress of interlaced serpents, from Veracruz. The direct precedent for jewellery carrying this symbol is not a modern idea — it already existed.
The feathered serpent — Kukulkán among the Maya, Quetzalcóatl on the central plateau — and the vision serpent are two of the central motifs of all Maya art. They are not decoration. They are the grammar those people thought the world with.
Quetzalcóatl created humanity with ground bone and his own blood. Lady Xook opened the vision with her own blood. The same key, centuries apart.
The serpent that made us.
In the Leyenda de los Soles, recorded in the Codex Chimalpopoca, Quetzalcóatl descends into Mictlan and takes from Mictlantecuhtli the precious bones of the previous generations.
Cihuacóatl-Quilaztli grinds them to powder. And then Quetzalcóatl does what no other god in any other tradition does: he bleeds over them — wounding his earlobes, his calves, his tongue and his sex — and waters the powder with his own blood.
From that mixture, the humanity of the Fifth Sun is born.
And notice the symmetry. Quetzalcóatl uses his blood to create. Lady K'abal Xook uses her blood to see. Two accounts separated by centuries and by regions, holding the same key — with a serpent at the centre of both.
Quetzalcóatl means "Precious Serpent." And a 17th-century chronicler noted that, allegorically, it means "wisest of men." Worship of the Feathered Serpent is documented from Teotihuacan, 1st century.
We are not saying the Mexica knew genetics. They did not, and anyone claiming they carved double helices in stone has no source to back it. We looked. It does not exist.
What we are saying is more interesting and fully verifiable: to tell the origin of the human being, they chose precisely the two tissues where science would find heredity three thousand years later.
That is not evidence of anything. It is an extraordinary coincidence, and we would rather tell it as exactly that than inflate it until it breaks.
4,100 years ago, in Sumer, someone carved two intertwined serpents to represent the god who guards the passage between worlds.

The vase of Gudea
Gudea, ruler of Lagash, dedicates a libation vase to his personal god Ningishzida. On it appear intertwined serpents, interpreted as the god himself. It is the oldest known image of the motif. The inscription asks for "the prolongation of his life."
The keeper of the threshold
His name means "Lord of the Good Tree." He was chair bearer of the underworld and, in the myth of Adapa, doorkeeper to the celestial palace of Anu. His annual descent symbolised the seasonal death of vegetation — and his return, the regrowth.
The tomb of Tutankhamun
The oldest known ouroboros sits in the Enigmatic Book of the Netherworld, inside tomb KV62. It represents Mehen, the serpent who encircles and protects Ra on his nightly journey. Its meaning, verbatim: "the formless disorder that surrounds the orderly world and is involved in that world's periodic renewal."
Hen to pan
The ouroboros enters Greek alchemy through the Chrysopoeia of Cleopatra. In the drawing, the serpent biting its own tail encloses three words: ἓν τὸ πᾶν — "the all is one."
Sumer 4,100 years ago. Egypt 3,400. Teotihuacan from the 1st century. Uxmal and Yaxchilán in the Maya Classic.
None of those civilizations knew the others existed. All of them chose the coiled serpent to say the same thing: this is where you cross from one state into the next.

Both points on this piece are natural clear quartz — rock crystal. Natural six-sided terminations, not machine-cut. The veils and internal fractures visible against the light are fluid inclusions: microscopic bubbles of water and gas trapped while the crystal was growing, millions of years ago. They are not flaws. Silver does not purify the body

What kind of quartz are the points?

Formula SiO₂, trigonal crystal system, hardness 7 on the Mohs scale — in fact quartz is the mineral that defines 7 on that scale. The serpent is silver wire wound by hand, turn by turn, around a straight staff joining two natural clear quartz points — one facing the sky inside an arched bezel, the other facing the earth from its cap.

And one more thing: from a distance it looks like a quartz pendant. The serpent only appears up close. That is deliberate too.

Mexica sculptors carved their most sacred images on the face no one would ever see again.
It is one of the most disconcerting facts in pre-Hispanic art, and it is documented:
- The Coatlicue — 2.7 metres, close to two tonnes — has a complete Tlaltecuhtli carved on its base, the face resting against the earth: crouching, with skulls and the date "1 Rabbit" in his headdress.
- A feathered serpent sculpture conceals another Tlaltecuhtli beneath it.
- A Coyolxauhqui head conceals war glyphs.
- A carved cactus conceals the face of the founder Tenoch.
The scholars' explanation, verbatim: "The intended audience may have been divine and not human."
And on the effect it produces: the visible faces are "complete in and of themselves, meaningful and satisfying, leaving no clue to an uninitiated viewer that something is hidden underneath."
Carvers who spent weeks on an image destined to lie face down against stone. Forever.

01 Quality control before shipment
We inspect the quality and functionality of every device before shipment to ensure that you receive the best product possible. No piece leaves the studio without passing this inspection.
All electronic devices are also tested and powered on before packaging to confirm that they are operating correctly when they leave our facilities.
We warrant your purchase against any manufacturing defect. If your piece has a failure attributable to the manufacturing process, we will resolve it. It is that simple.
02 Warranty coverage and duration
Metayantra provides a 90-calendar-day warranty for manufacturing defects, beginning on the date your order is delivered. This warranty applies internationally, subject to the terms below and any mandatory consumer protections applicable in your location.

The warranty covers the piece’s manufacturing origin, not events occurring after delivery. A device that is dropped, impacted, or exposed to water is outside the warranty coverage. If this happens, contact us anyway: in many cases, we may offer a repair at a preferential rate.
04 Handcrafted pieces: color and finish variations
If the device you are choosing includes micrometals or pigments, please note that these materials are volatile and may settle randomly during curing. THE COLOR MAY VARY FOR THIS REASON, as the arrangement of metal microparticles cannot be controlled by any manufacturing process.
This product is handcrafted. We always strive to make your piece as similar as possible to the one shown in the images, but it will also have its own character: that is what makes it unique and impossible to replicate identically.
For this reason, natural differences in color, grain, material distribution, texture, or finish do not constitute a manufacturing defect or a valid reason for return, provided that the piece matches its published description. By placing your order, you acknowledge and accept this inherent characteristic of handcrafted work.
If you believe your piece differs substantially from the published description—not merely in shade, but in material, size, or model—contact us with photographs within 5 calendar days. We will evaluate this as a product issue.
05 Orgonite products and 5G protection technology
All of our orgonite products incorporate special technology intended to protect living beings from the harmful effects of 5G and surrounding electromagnetic pollution.
This technology is part of the piece’s design and composition and is covered by the warranty with respect to its physical and structural integrity: if the piece arrives fractured, with detached materials, or with an incomplete component, the manufacturing defect warranty applies.
Under our Terms and Conditions, the warranty covers the piece’s documented physical properties (material composition, geometry, structural integrity, and piezoelectricity). Specific spiritual, energetic, therapeutic, or metaphysical results are not guaranteed, because experiences with these objects are personal and cannot be measured through standardized methods. Our products are not medical devices and do not replace professional healthcare.

If your inquiry falls into the consulting category, we will tell you before we begin, along with the applicable fee. No charge is ever incurred without your prior confirmation. Warranty and operational support are always provided at no charge.
07 How to make a warranty claim
- Contact us through the official channel where you made your purchase, within the time limits in Section 02.
- Send your evidence: order number, detailed description of the issue, receipt date, and photographs or video of the product and packaging.
- Receive our response within a maximum of 3 business days, including the options available for your case.
- We will send you the assigned shipping label specifically for your product and order when the piece must be returned.
- Pack the item securely and ship it using only the assigned shipping label. Returns sent with labels from other orders or with a different volumetric capacity will not be accepted.
- We will inspect and resolve the case within the established time frames and notify you of the review outcome.
The label is quoted according to the exact weight and dimensions of your product. Using it for another item or order may invalidate the process and may be treated as misuse of the warranty process. If a new label is required for reasons attributable to the buyer, the buyer is responsible for the cost calculated using (Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5,000.

When a warranty claim is approved, we will agree with you on the best solution from the following options:

01 Shipping essentials
All orders receive free shipping anywhere in the world, with no minimum purchase required. Shipping is included automatically at checkout.
Free shipping covers one (1) delivery service per order. Additional attempts resulting from incorrect information provided by the buyer are quoted separately (see Section 06).
03 Preparation and shipping times
In-stock products
If marked "Inventory available", the product is ready to ship and is dispatched every Monday. The weekly cutoff is Friday: orders placed by Friday are prepared for the following Monday dispatch. For example, an order placed on Monday is shipped the following Monday, and an order placed on Friday is also shipped the following Monday.
Made-to-order products
Custom or imported items require 3 to 5 weeks of manufacturing. The process begins on the Monday following your purchase.
Once manufacturing is complete, the additional delivery time is 1 to 7 business days depending on your location. Mixed orders (express and made to order) ship complete when all items are ready.
04 Shipping methods, tracking, and delivery attempts
We offer the following shipping methods and costs:
- Standard shipping: Free worldwide on every order, with no minimum purchase.
- Orders over $399 USD — DHL upgrade: orders above $399 USD qualify for an upgraded DHL shipment. Metayantra ships these orders by DHL and prepays all import duties in advance.
Once your order ships, you will receive your tracking number and real-time tracking link by email. If you do not receive them within 2 business days, contact us.
How many delivery attempts are made?
The number of visits to the delivery address is determined by the carrier, not Metayantra:

05 International shipping, customs, and taxes
International orders are shipped under the method selected for the order. Standard shipping is free worldwide on every purchase. Orders above $399 USD qualify for an upgraded shipment via DHL.
For orders above $399 USD, Metayantra ships by DHL and pays all applicable import duties in advance. You will not be asked to pay import duties upon delivery for the DHL upgrade.
Import duties are prepaid by Metayantra for qualifying DHL-upgrade orders. Any local taxes, brokerage charges, storage fees, inspection fees, or other charges not classified as import duties may depend on the destination country and its authorities.
06 Shipping address and buyer responsibility
The buyer is solely responsible for providing a correct, complete, accurate, and up-to-date address at the time of purchase, including: street, building and unit number, postal code, state/province, delivery instructions and a current contact phone number. Included shipping covers one delivery service.
If you notice an error, write to us immediately. We can modify your information at no charge provided the request arrives before your order goes out for delivery:
- Order placed before 11:00 hrs → you can correct it until 11:00 hrs that same day.
- Order placed entre the 11:00 and the 16:00 hrs → you can correct it until 16:00 hrs that same day.
- Order placed after 16:00 hrs → you can correct it until 20:00 hrs that same day.

Why does incorrect information prevent delivery? (Automatic geolocation)
Our couriers operate with geolocated routes, and this reference is generated automatically by the system from the information you enter in your order. No person interprets the address: the system converts it into coordinates.
Therefore, if any information is incorrect, ambiguous, unclear, or incomplete, the system will locate the address at a point different from the actual one and delivery will fail, even if you are at home waiting.
Cost of a new delivery attempt
When delivery fails because of information provided incorrectly by the buyer, the new attempt has the same cost as the shipping service listed in the store:
- $6 USD or $15 USD, depending on the service selected in your original order.
No additional administrative fee is charged: you pay exactly what it costs to move the package again.
If you chose Cash on Delivery and delivery failed
When delivery cannot be completed because information was entered incorrectly or incompletely, preventing the courier from locating the address, there will be no new attempt under the cash-on-delivery method. To reschedule delivery, you must:
- Pay for the order in advance (cash on delivery is canceled for that order), and
- Provide the correct and complete information required for the new delivery.
This measure exists because each failed cash-on-delivery attempt represents a logistics cost already incurred and unpaid.
Evidence: we always document the delivery attempt
No second-attempt charge is applied at our discretion. Our couriers document every visit, and the record generally includes:
- Geolocated position sent by the courier upon reaching the address.
- Photographs of the location to which the entered address was referenced.
- Screenshots of calls made to the provided contact number when the customer did not answer.
This evidence is shared with you upon request by writing to clientes@metayantra.com with your order number. We want you to be able to verify what happened before deciding how to proceed.
These conditions are clearly disclosed at checkout before you confirm your purchase. If delivery fails because of incorrect information, your order is not lost or held: your merchandise remains yours and you always have two available paths, one of them completely free.
- Option A — No cost: pick up your order personally at our warehouse (see below).
- Option B — With cost: pay for a new shipping service ($6 or $15 USD depending on the service) to retry home delivery.
What is not refundable is the logistics service already performed (the trip that actually took place), just as no carrier refunds the cost of a trip it has already completed. The product you purchased remains fully available to you.
When delivery fails for a reason attributable to the carrier (loss, poor route management, damage, or carrier error), the carrier assumes responsibility and compensates Metayantra, and we arrange a new shipment at no cost to you. You may choose to have it reshipped:
- To the same address originally registered,
- To a carrier branch for pickup, or
- To another address previously agreed with you.
The same applies if the error was ours (an address entered incorrectly by Metayantra, or the wrong product or tracking label): we cover the correction.
07 Use of the shipping label
The label generated for each return or reshipment is exclusive to that package and its dimensions. Using a label for a different product constitutes bad faith, may invalidate the process, and may lead to legal action.
If a new label must be generated for reasons attributable to the buyer (loss, expiration due to delay, or prior improper use), the cost will be covered by the buyer, calculated using the standard volumetric-weight formula: (Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5,000 = volumetric kg.
08 Damage during shipping
If you receive a package with visible damage to the outer packaging, document its condition with photographs before opening it and notify us within the following 5 calendar days. Keep the original packaging until the claim is resolved. Claims related to transit cannot be handled after this period.
09 Digital products: subliminal audio
Subliminal audio files are 100% digital products in high-quality FLAC format. They are sent by email within a maximum of 24 business hours. Because this is a downloadable digital product, returns and refunds do not apply once the file has been delivered, except in the event of a technical defect that makes it completely unusable.
